About the role

The Stage Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing all on-stage and loading dock operations from pre-show preparations to day-of-show execution for concerts and events. This role serves as the central point of communication between the Venue Production Manager, touring, client, and/or rental vendor team ensuring that technical and logistical execution aligns. The Stage manager oversees all stage activity and ensures smooth load-in/outs, efficient communication, and on-time performances.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates the details of the event to the venue production crew and all relevant in-house departments.
  • Manages members of the Venue production team and stagehands.
  • Safeguards that the tour(s) and client(s) have required items from venue needed to execute show(s) and event(s).
  • Supervises the load-in and load out of band and rental equipment.
  • Documents accident, incident, and disciplinary issues for the production crew and reports actions back to Production Manager.
  • Ensures all in-house policies are enforced regarding staging, safety and show protocol.
  • Executes settlements per contract with artists post show.

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum Tour and Stage Production experience.
  • Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing a team of 5+ individuals.
  • Ability to make clear concise decisions, sometimes with limited information.
  • Computer literate in Windows applications.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Preferred College Degree.
  • Physical Demands/Working Environment: Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of stage lighting, pro audio systems, and basic video systems.
