About the Role

The Staffing Specialist supports the Sephora Distribution Center by engaging internal and external talent to meet staffing needs. This role develops and maintains community and industry relationships, promotes an excellent onboarding process, and exceeds hiring managers' expectations for all positions sourced.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the management team on roster management to forecast headcount based on volume and backfill needs
  • Serves as a company ambassador at partner schools and universities to build and maintain relationships with faculty, administration, and student organizations
  • Works closely with hiring managers to maintain accurate headcount needs aligned with volume
  • Conducts phone screens and schedules interviews; may lead interviews when appropriate
  • Tracks and analyzes data to identify staffing trends or gaps and provides recommendations for strategic advantages
  • Maintains accurate and detailed documentation on candidates, hiring manager interactions, and recruiting activities for efficiency and compliance
  • Collaborates and communicates staffing needs with external partnerships as required
  • Increases awareness and accountability for hiring/advancing underrepresented candidates, including collecting and analyzing diversity metrics and engaging senior-level champions
  • Owns the development, analysis, and measurement of a high-volume staffing program with key metrics and objectives
  • Provides general HR support as required
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices; reviews policies to ensure compliance
  • Stays updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Ability to travel (<10%) for job fairs, community events, and other work-related activities

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience in staffing, talent acquisition, or recruitment with a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in talent acquisition & recruitment with 2-3 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience developing and delivering communications to various audience levels within an organization
  • Demonstrable expertise in talent acquisition principles
  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and implementing strategies to address them
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships at all levels of an organization, in the business community, and with vendors

Working Conditions

  • Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities

Pay

The target hourly pay for this position is $27.29 - $30.50. The actual hourly pay offered depends on factors such as market competitiveness, relevant qualifications and experience, and other business-specific considerations. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay.
