DC Specialist

About the role

Join our Family! This position works in a distribution environment with a focus on order picking, order loading, and items put away. Responsibilities include unloading and putting away inbound receipts and transfers, pulling, staging, and loading outbound orders, checking and correcting outbound and inbound paperwork for accuracy, using the WMS (Warehouse Management System), performing trailer inspections, recouping damage when necessary, managing floor plans for finished goods and raw materials to be most efficient, and assisting in housekeeping activities at the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Unload and put away inbound receipts and transfers.
• Pull, stage, and load outbound orders.
• Pull and load outbound transfers to the production site.
• Check and correct outbound and inbound paperwork for accuracy.
• Use the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
• Perform trailer inspections.
• Recoup damage when necessary.
• Manage floor plans for finished goods and raw materials to be most efficient.
• Affix to job functions in line with the SQF code.
• Absorb assistance in housekeeping activities at the Distribution Center.
• Attend pieces of training provided and suggested.
• Engage in special projects with DC Management.
• Communicate stop-call-wait situations, failures, and anything requiring management approval to DC Management.
• Affix to equipment maintenance with maintenance techs to properly identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
• Proficiency with WMS systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend work required.
