Staffing Optimization Analyst

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Staffing Optimization Analyst is responsible for performing facility assessments, compiling recommendations, assisting with implementation, and monitoring results to reduce the overall cost of labor in hospitals. This role requires excellent communication, change management, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Flex Path Compliance Audits and provide support for Financial Resiliency initiatives such as PRN utilization, overtime, weekend commitment, and under/over commitment.
• Formulate and recommend staffing and scheduling plans based on experience and best practices.
• Support and be a Knowledge Source for optimal use of Timpani and other Timpani enhancements.
• Enable facilities to adopt the Flex Path approach to manage staff and reduce premium labor utilization.
• Maintain and enforce the organization’s staffing model and monitor key metrics like timely schedule posting, commitment, and schedule healthiness.
• Collaborate with Division PI Labor and facility leadership to develop and implement staffing and scheduling action items.
• Provide education on the Dashboard and validate key staff data within Timpani.
• Configure staffing grids in Timpani and assign skills with target values.
• Ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry related to staffing needs.

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ year of experience in related duties
• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced user in Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills
