Equipment Technician III/Canton, NY Shift: Typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday Client Overview You'd be working at a manufacturing plant that produces specialty materials, supporting the equipment engineering team with hands on repair and maintenance work on a wide variety of plant equipment. Top 3 Skills Mechanical equipment repair and troubleshooting Technical documentation and schematic interpretation CAD and project management software What You'll Do Collaborate daily with engineering team members, union trades, and operators to address equipment breakdowns Interact with vendors and plant contacts to purchase repair related equipment and parts Interpret technical documentation, including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects independently Work on a wide variety of plant equipment, including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, and furnaces Support general facility related equipment needs What We Need From You Associate's degree in mechanical or a related field, or equivalent hands on experience in lieu of a degree Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands on experience Good mechanical aptitude, able to apply skills across a wide range of equipment types Strong organizational skills US citizenship required Preferred / Bonus Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software Experience with Microsoft Office, Project, and SharePoint About Elevait Elevait Solutions was founded by veterans who believe that how you treat people is the only thing that actually matters in this industry.
