Staffing Coordinator CNA or CMA

About the role

As the Staffing Coordinator, you will serve as the primary contact for all staffing functions at the facility. You will schedule and coordinate staffing to ensure accurate and adequate clinical coverage, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team recognized for its achievements and contributions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CMA, CNAs)
• Process applications for all positions
• Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants/candidates
• Complete new hire reference checks and license/certification verifications
• Review staffing routinely and adjust based on census
• Conduct the clinical portion of new hire orientation
• Conduct drug testing of all new hires
• Maintain attendance records, including excused/unexcused absences
• Set up, track, and log attendance for all State-mandated in-services and required training
• Administer annual proficiency testing for Certified Nurse Aides
• May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
• Maintain copies and track nurse and nurse aide licenses
• Track, audit, and administer TB tests, flu shots, and other required health screenings for residents and employees

Requirements

• Current, valid certification as a CNA or CMA is required
• Previous experience in a nursing home or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
• Previous scheduling experience required; UKG experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
