Staffing Coordinator / Central Supply
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator / Central Supply to join our team at Aviata at the Sea - Pompano Beach. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate staffing schedules, manage supplies, and provide exceptional care to our patients and residents.
Responsibilities
- Cook off for residents
- Coordinate staffing schedules for the nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage
- Complete daily staffing sheets and interact with employees to cover daily staffing requirements
- Secure coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, and other absences
- Prepare and complete daily nursing hours report for the Executive Director/LNHAC
- Calculate nursing hours daily to meet PPD requirements and maintain a log of daily and month-to-date PPD
- Communicate with admissions on a daily basis for census and admission/discharge status of patients
- Review daily punch detail report on each employee, verify hours worked, correct errors, and identify trends
- Provide innovative, responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and concepts to improve systems and processes
- Manage supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care
- Absorb and report changes in residents' condition and status
- Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
- Assist with daily tasks such as medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Assist with dining, including escorting residents to dining rooms, serving, and clean-up
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school education or its equivalent
- Associates Degree preferred, but not required
- Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care or other medical setting preferred
- You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done
