Delivers organization-approved certification and compliance training that supports employee competency, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards. Serves as a trusted instructor and subject-matter expert, fostering an engaging learning environment while promoting consistent training practices, professional development, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver organization-approved certification, compliance, and internally developed training programs to employees, facilitating both initial and refresher courses in accordance with established curriculum and organizational standards.
- Maintain current instructor certifications and credentials for all assigned training programs by completing required recertification and continuing education within established timeframes.
- Accurately track and maintain attendance, training completion records, and other required training documentation for each session.
- Prepare training environments by ensuring classrooms, instructional materials, equipment, and supplies are available and ready prior to each training session.
- Ensure participants comply with established training standards, safety requirements, and classroom expectations throughout each session.
- Deliver training using approved curriculum and instructional methods while adapting facilitation techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Foster an engaging and professional learning environment by effectively managing classroom dynamics and encouraging participant involvement.
- Evaluate participant knowledge and practical skills to verify competency and successful completion of training requirements in accordance with certification standards.
- Provide feedback to Training leadership regarding participant trends, training effectiveness, and opportunities to enhance training delivery or instructional materials.
- Coach and support participants in applying training concepts, reinforcing best practices, and building confidence in the skills required to perform their roles effectively.
- Occasional travel (in and out of state) may be required.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in training, coaching, or direct child/family services role.
- Current or the ability to obtain required instructor certifications within ninety (90) days of hire as an instructor in PCM, Ukeru, CPR, and First Aid.
