Staff Technician - Calibration Technician (Onsite)

About the Role

Collins Aerospace, a leader in technologically advanced, intelligent solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a highly skilled RF Technician to join our Test Equipment Services team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This team supports the full lifecycle of test equipment by calibrating, repairing, troubleshooting, and monitoring to ensure performance and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills.
• Work from minimal documentation, including written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts, and plans, often requiring interpretation.
• Conduct engineering tests and analyze data to support recommended design changes when applicable.
• Actively promote team decision-making and provide technical recommendations for capital, expense, and service acquisitions.
• Perform component testing and signal tracing using RF knowledge.
• Use spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers to test equipment.

Requirements

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

• RF experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Concur, TEMS, and SAP.
• Test equipment experience.

• High-level attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $53,100 - $100,900 USD.
