Staff Technical Talent Sourcer

About the role

The Staff Technical Talent Sourcer plays a crucial role in identifying and engaging highly technical candidates for various teams at Etsy, particularly in Data Science, Machine Learning, and related fields. This role involves deep collaboration with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineering/product stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient hiring processes.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing specialized, highly technical candidates across multiple teams at Etsy.
• Partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Team and Engineering/Product stakeholders/leadership to understand and fulfill their hiring needs.
• Supporting the full-cycle recruiting process, including building diverse pipelines and managing candidate interactions.
• Ensuring hiring manager and team preparedness during the interview process and conducting interviews professionally.
• Acting as an internal and external representative of Etsy, sharing knowledge with the talent team and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
• Contributing to the development of sourcing strategies and innovative solutions to address challenges in the recruiting process.

Requirements

This role requires 7+ years of recruiting and/or screening experience in engineering talent at high-growth tech companies or similar environments. It also demands confidence in representing the company both internally and externally, an ability to consult with hiring managers, passion for sourcing passive and diverse talent, and the capability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Able to balance the demands of live roles with proactive, collaborative, and impactful project work.
• Familiarity with WorkdayRecruit or equivalent ATS systems.

Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sourcing and engaging technical talent, as well as experience in high-growth tech environments.
