Job Summary
The Technical Program Management team at Box is seeking a seasoned Staff Technical Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact programs that accelerate Box's transition into the modern AI-powered development ecosystem for both our teams and customers. This role requires autonomy, strategic influence, and the ability to foster operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Autonomously manage and drive alignment and execution for successful delivery of strategic, cross-functional and complex technical programs across Box.
- Independently manage programs and portfolios by breaking down ambitious objectives into interconnected workstreams with clear milestones, success criteria, dependencies, and execution plans.
- Clearly identify constraints and needed trade-offs and proactively manage risks.
- Act as a key partner to executive leadership, influencing product roadmaps, championing critical technical initiatives, and driving organizational change across cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and coach other TPMs by facilitating knowledge sharing, providing guidance on complex program execution, and guiding the adoption of best practices.

- Extensive experience and proficient understanding of standard Agile and Software Development Lifecycle and program management tools including Confluence, Jira, and Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated in your career deep technical experience in software development engineering or system reliability engineering.
- Experience with working Agent Orchestrated software development and/or experience building AI into products.
- Experience using AI and tool chain (e.g. cursor, claude, codex) to automate manual processes to improve productivity.
- 7+ years in technical program management, driving large cross-functional programs and initiatives in fast-paced tech companies.
- 12+ years experience in a tech field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor TPM teammates.
