Staff Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths to ensure cross-functional alignment and on-time program execution.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Design, R&D, and Operations to deliver high-quality product features. Support alignment across teams by clarifying requirements, identifying potential blockers, and proposing well-reasoned solutions.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external partners, presenting solutions that align with broader business goals. Be a natural relationship builder and clear communicator.
- Operationalize products: Oversee the roll-out of technical solutions to the marketplace, ensuring performance, reliability and consumer adoption achieve agreed upon outcomes.
- Drive technical excellence: Collaborate with engineering teams to make informed trade-offs and support scalable, secure product development. Apply working knowledge of APIs, data systems, and platform capabilities to contribute to sound technical decisions.
Location & Travel Expectations
This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of program management experience, with a strong emphasis on technical platforms and service tools.
- Demonstrated success in building and launching complex digital experiences enjoyed by millions of people around the world.
- Experienced with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, and project reporting dashboards.
- Proficient with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) and eager to integrate them into your workflow.
- Automotive experience is a plus but not required.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems such as CRM, ERP, or service management platforms.
Skills
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to keep programs on track.
- Support frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or SAFe to drive continuous improvement and delivery efficiency.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Pay Transparency
The pay transparency for this role is as follows: Initial base salary range = $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
