Staff Technical Product Manager-Workshop Operations

Accountabilities

  • Define and lead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for digital workshop operations platforms, including appointment management and service tracking solutions.
  • Build foundational systems and processes for new operational models, supporting pre-launch initiatives and future scalability.
  • Own end-to-end product development activities, from discovery and requirements definition to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate operational workflows into clear technical requirements, product specifications, automated processes, and system logic.
  • Partner with engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to design scalable integrations and reliable digital experiences.
  • Manage API integrations, data synchronization, migration activities, and system performance across connected platforms.
  • Ensure data accuracy across critical service information, including appointments, service orders, vehicle data, parts availability, and customer information.
  • Establish operational readiness criteria, support product rollouts, and drive adoption across service teams and retail locations.
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs, dashboards, system health metrics, and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify technical risks, integration challenges, and process improvements while maintaining security, reliability, and scalability standards.

Requirements

  • Experienced technical product leader with a strong background in platform development, integrations, and operational software.
  • Proven experience delivering service operations tools, workshop management systems, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Strong preference for candidates with automotive aftersales, workshop operations, dealership management systems, or related industry experience.
  • Experience managing external technology partners and driving successful vendor integrations.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and data integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, JSON, XML, and structured data exchange.
  • Experience creating detailed technical requirements, integration specifications, workflows, and product documentation.
  • Experience delivering 0-1 products or platforms in startup, transformation, or pre-launch environments.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with experience using dashboards, logs, metrics, and basic SQL.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
