Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture of the company’s Risk Platform for fraud detection and mitigation
- Shape long-term technical strategies to enhance reliability and reduce fraud losses
- Lead the design and implementation of crucial risk systems for scalability and resilience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve the risk platform against emerging threats
- Develop AI-native systems to automate detection and response workflows
- Mentor engineers and uphold engineering standards for quality and performance
Qualifications
- 8+ years of backend software engineering experience with high-throughput, low-latency production systems
- Deep expertise in backend systems design including microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs
- Proven track record in defining and executing multi-quarter technical strategies
- Experience in architecting solutions for high-stakes domains focusing on correctness and reliability
- Demonstrated success in improving team technical capabilities through guidance and mentorship
- Experience in utilizing generative AI with an emphasis on responsible usage
