Staff Software Development Engineer, Web

For a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer – Web to lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. About the role

You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable high-performance web applications
• Build and evolve shared component libraries and design-system assets
• Lead design decisions and align with senior engineers on systems design
• Implement comprehensive automated testing strategies for various scenarios
• Identify tech debt and improve application scalability and stability
• Develop automation frameworks for testing and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and draft root cause analysis documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 8-10 years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem-solving
• Expertise in designing and developing complex web applications focusing on scalability and reliability
• Proven experience with micro-frontends or module federation
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks, particularly Angular or React
• Solid understanding of web security fundamentals

Pay

$140,600 – $173,100 annually
