Staff Scientist - Nephrology
About the role
The PI’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of ER stress-mediated kidney diseases such as nephrotic syndrome, Alport syndrome, and ADTKD. The lab uses advanced techniques including cell and mouse models, human iPSCs, and imaging to advance the field.
Responsibilities
- Designs research protocols following instructions and discussions with the principal investigator.
- Assists in grant preparation and reporting.
- Performs complex statistical analysis and writes interpretative reports.
- Verifies the correctness of data and makes recommendations based on analyses.
- Documents research topics and prepares papers for publications and presentations.
- Solves practical problems related to equipment or test subjects.
- Suggests technical or procedural improvements in testing methods.
- Conducts literature searches related to research projects.
- Assists in conducting experiments and managing data.
- Provides standard care to research animals.
Requirements
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. No specific certifications or professional licenses are required.
