Scheduler
Provides administrative support within the hospital, including the nursing team, the patients, medical staff and executive staff.
- Ensures monthly nursing schedules are set up and completed to provide the best possible care to our patients.
- Assists with call-offs and finds suitable replacements and coverage for the floor.

Schedules
- Schedules aides and nurses using a monthly schedule.
- The schedule is put out at least 30 days in advance.
- Takes staff call-offs and maintains the call-off log.
- Works with the DON and CEO to ensure correct coverage is in place at all times.
- Acts as a liaison between clinical floor staff and administration regarding staffing, supplies and education.
- Aid in orienting new nursing aide staff and complete competency packets during General Orientation.
- Contacts various hospital departments in order to change schedules; arrange for patient transportation, unit cleaning or equipment repair; and to order medications, physical therapy, supplies, etc.
- Performs related clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, running errands, completing patient census forms, ordering stationary and pens, fax machine, etc if applicable.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience required, in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health or acute care setting preferred.
- Previous experience with a scheduling tool, such as Shift Hound or SmartForce a plus.
- Availability to respond for staffing emergencies, including after-hours, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
