About the Role
This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health-illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. The role is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Assessment/Diagnosis (30%) – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the population and/or individual.
- Outcomes Identification/Planning (30%) – Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
- Implementation/Evaluation (20%) – Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; revises plan of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Leadership (10%) – Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Operations (10%) – Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare team.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.
Requirements
- BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
- RN – Registered Nurse (Ohio Board of Nursing)
- State Driver’s License
- CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
