Responsibilities
- Mouse handling, and collection of experimental behavioral/neural data (photometry recordings, optogenetic/chemogenetic behavioral experiments, electrophysiology recordings, real-time fluoroscopy, other behavioral assays)
- Processing and analysis of neural and behavioral data (using MATLAB and Python)
- Perform tissue processing and histology of brain and peripheral samples (transcardial perfusion, tissue sectioning and mounting, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, microscopy image acquisition)
Qualifications
- SRA I: BA/BS in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic related scientific techniques and procedures as learned from research laboratory experience.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Maintenance of accurate, complete, and legible records.
- Ability to work independently or with close supervision.
- Ability to work in-person on a daily basis.
- Ability to handle and manipulate mice routinely.
- Eagerness to learn new techniques.
- SRA II: In addition to the above, one or more years of recent, directly related work experience following degree completion, utilizing the techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
