Staff Recruiter

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Staff Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. People are the driving force of success at LegalZoom, and we’re building the team that drives our growth and shapes our culture. This hybrid position will work remotely as well as onsite in our Sherman Oaks, CA office. You’ll support various organizations and roles as part of a fungible recruiting team.

At LegalZoom, we operate with a human-in-the-loop model, where AI enhances—rather than replaces—human judgment. Our interview process will assess AI fluency, curiosity, and measurable workflow integration.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates from multiple venues and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates
• Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, schedule and host in-person interviews, and administer pre-employment tests
• Meet recruiting metrics based on operational needs and TA standards
• Regular follow-up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of the recruitment process
• Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures
• Maintain a constant and steady focus on the marketplace and disseminate market intelligence to key client groups

Requirements

• 7+ years of high-volume, full life-cycle recruiting experience with exempt, technical, and management-level positions
• Effective interviewing skills
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices
• Ability to source, attract, and hire the best candidates using traditional and social media methods
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional client service, communication, and teaming skills
• Strong attention to detail, balanced by the ability to see the big picture
• Ability to perform in a self-managed environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay

The salary range for this role is $114,200–$182,800. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus, and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
