Staff Quality Engineer, Solar Manufacturing

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality management system to ensure product specifications and industry standards are met
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and defects, and report on quality performance to company stakeholders
• Carry out regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, issues, and progress towards quality objectives
• Oversee documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports and corrective action plans

What You'll Bring

• Provide training and support to project and operations teams on quality standards and best practices
• Hold a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Have minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects
• Have experience with electro-mechanical, vehicle or aerospace assemblies, battery pack or module manufacturing (preferred)
• Have Six Sigma or ASQ certification (preferred)
• Have specific training and demonstrated success in applying design for quality, problem-solving methodologies, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE and SPC
• Have a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial electrical projects
• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information and make data-driven decisions
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate quality principles and standards
