About the role
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, CA is a full‑service county hospital offering a complete array of patient‑centered health care services in a beautiful facility. Since 2008, CCRMC has provided a full range of psychiatric services including Inpatient, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), Consult Liaison, Detention Facility, and Outpatient Behavioral Health. The Inpatient Unit consists of 2 units with a total of 43 acute psychiatric beds serving patients over age 18, with 16‑hour shifts daily (7 a.m.–11 p.m.). The unit is staffed by clerks, utilization review nurses, discharge planners, physicians, social workers, and occupational therapists, and provides care aimed at helping patients recover in a supportive environment. Psychiatric Emergency Services offers 56 hours of daily coverage with shifts from 7 AM–11 PM and overnight 11 PM–7 AM (other shifts available), an average daily census of 25‑30 patients for up to 3 doctors, and focuses on diagnosis and treatment of patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders while providing clinical consultation, training and support to staff regarding medical‑related issues.
