Staff Psychiatrist - Inpatient

About the role

Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) is a 229‑bed, fully‑integrated, comprehensive system of hospital, clinic and specialty services in Ventura, CA. VCMC hosts a renowned Family Medicine Residency Program affiliated with UCLA School of Medicine and is the only Ventura County academic teaching hospital with that affiliation. It is the designated Level II Trauma Center for west county and is known for its extraordinary trauma team. Due to the patient population, Spanish‑speaking is preferred. The position is in the Inpatient Services (Hillmont Psychiatric Center) 43‑bed unit.

Responsibilities

• See approximately 15 patients per shift.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation.
• Provide psychiatric inpatient care on the Hillmont Psychiatric Center unit.

Requirements

• Spanish‑speaking ability preferred.
• Eligibility for H‑1B or J‑1 visa sponsorship (Traditions Behavioral Health accepts H1B and J1 visa holders).

Pay

$342,451.20 per year for full‑time (7 on / 7 off) W‑2 employees.

Schedule

7 on – 7 off schedule, 10‑hour shifts (7 AM – 5 PM PT).
