Staff Psychiatrist - Inpatient

About the role

Alameda Health System (AHS) – San Leandro, CA. Alameda Health System is a full-service county hospital offering a comprehensive range of patient-centered healthcare services in a beautiful facility. Since 2007, they have partnered with AHS to provide a full range of psychiatric services including Inpatient, Consult Liaison, Psychiatric Emergency Services, and Outpatient Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard psychiatric exams and medication management
• Patients must be seen daily, and physician is to be onsite for the duration of their shift
• Physician leads treatment teams and is responsible for making optimal therapeutic and disposition decisions for JGPH patients
• Attends monthly (or as needed) departmental meetings
• Follows all bylaws and regulations of Med Staff
• Completes documents such as admission notes and discharge summaries in a timely manner

Requirements

• Board certified (board eligible for new graduates)
• Requires CA license and DEA
