Staff Psychiatrist - Inpatient
Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) is a 292-bed, fully-integrated, comprehensive system of hospital, clinic, and specialty services. VCMC is noted for its renowned Family Medicine Residency Program and is distinguished as the only Ventura County academic teaching hospital with a residency affiliated with UCLA School of Medicine. VCMC is the designated Level II Trauma Center for the west county and is known for its extraordinary trauma team. Due to the patient population, Spanish-speaking is preferred.
About the role
- Inpatient Services at Hillmont Psychiatric Center (43-bed unit)
- 7 on – 7 off schedule
- 10-hour shifts (7 AM - 5 PM PT)
- Physician will see approximately 15 patients per shift
- EMR: Cerner
- H1B and J1 Visa holders are welcome
Pay
$342,451.20 annually for full-time (7 on / 7 off) W-2 employees

Ventura County comprises the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA Combined Statistical Area. It is considered the southernmost county along the California Central Coast. The county features diverse landscapes, including 555,953 acres outside of national forest land, with mountainous and uninhabited regions north of Highway 126.
