Staff Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Apply project management basics: scheduling, tracking, management, and communication.
• Manage budgets and risks.
• Scope, plan, execute, and close medical device projects.
• Define and manage scope across the product development life cycle.
• Establish, organize, facilitate, and follow up on cross-functional team meetings.
• Lead subject-matter experts through influence and credibility.
• Guide teams through a systematic Stage Gate product development process.
• Organize and present key project metrics, progress, and risks during Project Reviews.
• Multi-task between projects while maintaining cooperative working relationships under competing deadlines.
• Develop and deliver formal communications and presentations.
• Respond constructively to unexpected challenges, balancing tact, negotiation, and directness.
• Manage customer relationships transparently while protecting Confluent’s interests.
• Negotiate with customers to ensure common understanding of requirements and expectations.
• Develop insight into internal and external business models, performance metrics, and financial drivers.
• Manage project budgets.

Requirements

• BS degree in a technical field (engineering or science); MS degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Medical device industry experience is a plus.
• PMP Certification and/or Professional Project Management Certificate preferred.

• Ability to lead teams through influence and credibility.
