Staff Program Manager
About the role
The Fluke Product Compliance is seeking a Staff Program Manager to protect business growth by applying program management skills. Fluke is the world leader in professional electronic test tools and software; your programs will help keep the world up and running by developing and delivering rugged, reliable, and accurate test and measurement tools and software used by professionals in critical and fast-growing industries such as solar power and electric vehicle service equipment.
Responsibilities
- Own process discipline, leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed program teams through scoping, securing resources, setting program targets, and holding self and team accountable.
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, manage conflict and tradeoffs, and enable cross-functional clarity and execution.
- Lead stand up meetings and leadership communications, act as a liaison between cross-functional team members, and lead the team to create and update schedules/action plans.
- Identify and lead the team through crucial conversations, countermeasures, and trade-off discussions to resolve risks and impacts, and lead teams through pivots when needed.
- Define project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and understand how they impact larger Fluke-wide metrics, and help to roll KPIs to leadership.
- Define and manage budgets for projects of medium to high complexity, track status, and communicate to leadership.
- Guide other teams and project managers through budgeting exercises, and lead project stand-up meetings, owning communication to leadership and the team with coaching.
- Evaluate risks and potential blockers, and lead trade-off discussions to mitigate risks and implement risk mitigation plans.
- Manage and lead cross-functional program teams required to support program activities, and lead project stand-up meetings, owning communication to leadership and the team with coaching.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience developing system level products, which include electronic hardware, embedded firmware, and application software in a fully integrated system.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire collaborative team execution including leadership of geographically dispersed cross-functional development teams.
- Proven experience in coaching junior team members in program management.
- Penned experience in risk management and change management.
- Comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, adjusting appropriately for the audience and purpose.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics degree preferred.
- PMI/PMP certification a plus.
- Regulatory Compliance experience a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization with appropriate urgency.
- Strong Program Management skills including system tools and soft skills.
- Strong Problem-Solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of standard work around the entire product lifecycle required for the management of the project.
- Strong understanding of the full organizational program needs and leads the cross-functional program team required to support program activities.
