Staff Product Engineer (Salesforce), Certification

About the role

The Staff Product Engineer will own the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the certification platform, including the externally facing Experience Cloud portal and the Salesforce data model and automation beneath it. They will also own the quality and technical realization of the certification product experience, ensuring the journey merchants and advertisers take to apply for, achieve, and manage their certification is smooth and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the certification platform
• Own the quality and technical realization of the certification product experience
• Bring the engineering and user perspective into what the platform should build next
• Shape certification direction together with the Certification Innovation Manager, the Director of Certification Strategy, and Sales and Revenue Operations
• Establish and enforce Salesforce engineering governance
• Design and own integrations between the certification platform and LegitScript’s broader CRM, APIs, and third-party systems
• Foster improvements to the Certification Console and other internal Salesforce based tools
• Own security and reliability for an externally facing portal

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise across both configuration and code
• Production experience building and operating Experience Cloud (formerly Community) sites
• Strong command of Salesforce platform limits and scaling techniques
• Experience owning the technical health of a Salesforce org
• Experience designing, delivering, and operating production Salesforce solutions at scale
• Experience outside of Salesforce in building services, APIs, and web applications

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial time building on the Salesforce platform
• Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and operating production Salesforce solutions at scale
• Experience owning the technical health of a Salesforce org
• Track record of shaping product or feature direction for an application you also built
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
