What You'll Do
- Work on the foundation that makes product teams faster, while staying connected to real user-facing experiences.
- Core Areas Of Ownership
- Web Architecture
- Define and evolve our frontend architecture (Next.js, SSR strategy, routing)
- Lead large-scale migrations (e.g., monolith to modern frameworks)
- Drive decisions around code structure, modularity, and scalability
- Performance
- Own Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and overall page performance
- Build and enforce performance guardrails (Lighthouse CI, budgets, monitoring)
- Develop real-user monitoring dashboards and insights
- Developer Experience
- Improve build systems, tooling, and local development workflows
- Design AI-forward developer workflows and productivity improvements
- Optimize build times, previews, and deployment pipelines
- Design System Infrastructure
- Build the foundations of the design system (tokens, theming, versioning)
- Define governance and scalability patterns (not component implementation)
- Platform Capabilities
- Build frameworks for experimentation (feature flags, client-side assignment)
- Support internationalization (i18n) and accessibility at scale
- Enable automated a11y validation in CI
- Strong experience building modern frontend applications using: React, TypeScript, Next.js
- A track record of shipping real, user-facing product features
- Experience owning shared systems or platform capabilities such as: Design system infrastructure (tokens, theming), Build tooling or developer workflows, Performance systems or observability, Experimentation or localization frameworks
- Ability to think beyond individual features and design systems other teams use
- You've worked on both product features and foundational platform systems
- You've led migrations, scaled frontend architecture, or improved performance at scale
- You bring a balanced mindset: shipping fast while building for the long term
- You're not just an infrastructure specialist—you understand end-user impact
- High impact across the entire frontend ecosystem
- Influence architecture, performance, and developer experience at scale
- Work on meaningful product experiences—not just internal systems
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering leaders
