The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for an Assistant to Full Professor in Thoracic Oncology to join a nationally recognized, mission-driven team advancing the future of cancer care. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional outpatient-focused care for patients with thoracic malignancies within a multidisciplinary oncology practice
  • Collaborate closely with thoracic surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, pulmonology, and supportive care teams to deliver integrated patient-centered care
  • Participate in select inpatient clinical responsibilities as part of a collaborative oncology care model
  • Contribute to the advancement of thoracic oncology through participation in clinical trials and translational research initiatives
  • Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and collaborative treatment planning
  • Support academic and educational initiatives through mentorship, teaching, and scholarly collaboration
  • Contribute to programmatic growth, innovation, and the continued expansion of thoracic oncology services
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, compassion, scientific rigor, and excellence aligned with High Reliability Organization principles

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree with board eligibility or certification in Medical Oncology or a related specialty
  • A strong clinical interest and expertise in thoracic oncology and multidisciplinary cancer care
  • A collaborative and academically engaged approach to patient care, research, and program development
  • Interest in clinical trials, translational research, and advancing innovative treatment strategies for thoracic malignancies
  • A commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care
  • Executive presence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • A passion for mentorship, education, and contributing to the development of future oncology leaders
  • An intellectual curiosity and a desire to contribute meaningfully to academic growth and scientific advancement
