Staff Physician (PRN)

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams, diagnose, and treat illnesses
• Manage chronic conditions
• Evaluate and modify therapeutic regimens
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies
• Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities
• Conduct rounds in medical and infirmary units
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations
• Collaborate with other medical professionals

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Current unrestricted license as a physician in STATE
• Current DEA registration in STATE
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
• Able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Experience in general medicine
• Knowledge of current medical principles and practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Integrity, professionalism, adherence to a Code of Conduct, and compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Past criminal background check and drug screening required
