Staff Physician (Endocrinologist)

About the role

The NYU Student Health Center (SHC) is seeking a part-time, hybrid eligible endocrinologist to provide high quality patient care to a diverse University community of more than 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Common endocrinology issues include diabetes, thyroid conditions, PCOS, obesity, and other conditions, both emergent and chronic.

Responsibilities

• Consults and co-manages patients with Primary Care, GYN, Dermatology, and other providers in a large multi-specialty health center in Manhattan (Washington Square Park campus).
• Supports patients with on-site services including a dedicated pharmacy, registered dieticians, optometry, behavioral health specialists, and gender-affirming care.
• Makes a commitment to supporting students in their wellbeing to assure their academic success.
• Works with a team approach to improve care.

Requirements

• Required Education: M.D. or D.O. degree, NY State medical license, Board Certified in Endocrinology (Internal Medicine or Med/Peds).
• Required Experience: 2 years clinical experience as a Physician in the field of Endocrinology. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration, eligibility to obtain medical liability insurance. Approval for clinical privileges by the Credentials Committee.

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience: Experience with gender-affirming care a plus. Experience working in a multi-specialty setting and/or Student Health practice setting helpful.

• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and provide culturally sensitive and high quality clinical care.

Benefits

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $115,197.59 to USD $155,197.59. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.

Pay

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $115,197.59 to USD $155,197.59.
