About the role
The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging is seeking a trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive breast imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Interpret a broad range of breast imaging examinations, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
- Perform image-guided breast procedures, including ultrasound-guided, stereotactic, and MRI-guided biopsies and localizations.
- Participate in breast imaging consultations and communicate findings and recommendations effectively with referring physicians and patients as appropriate.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, including breast tumor board and other breast-related clinical conferences.
- Collaborate with breast surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary breast care team.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
- Fellowship training in Diagnostic Radiology/Breast Radiology.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License.
- Strong diagnostic interpretation and clinical communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
