About the role
The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging is seeking a trained Interventional Radiologist to join our growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. The successful candidate will provide a broad range of image-guided diagnostic procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures.
- Evaluate patients in consultation and determine appropriate interventional treatment.
- Perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, including biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization procedures, and other procedures appropriate to the physician's expertise.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient management.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, education, and peer-review activities.
- Participate in call coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
- Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License.
- Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with a broad range of vascular and nonvascular interventions.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
