About the role
The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator up to a rank of Professor. Responsibilities include attending on the Breast Imaging service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), as well as teaching and mentoring medical graduate trainees and students. The Breast Imaging Section is part of the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center (LSCBC), where state-of-the-art care is provided to patients with breast diseases. The LSCBC is one of the largest, most advanced breast centers in the country.
Responsibilities
- Attend on the Breast Imaging service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital
- Teach and mentor medical graduate trainees and students
- Participate in multicenter clinical trials and research and development of new breast imaging technologies
Qualifications
- Expertise in all aspects of breast imaging, including tomosynthesis, ultrasonography, MRI, and biopsy
- American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility
Work environment
The Breast Imaging Section is housed in the Prentice Women’s Hospital on the downtown Northwestern University Chicago campus. The section performs over 90,000 breast imaging studies and interventional procedures each year, including MRI-guided biopsies. Equipment includes 12 digital mammography systems (including tomosynthesis-capable machines), 10 state-of-the-art ultrasound units, a prone tomosynthesis/stereotactic biopsy table, and a 1.5 T MRI system. The section supports a fellowship program in breast imaging with 7 fellows each year.

Pay
The expected base range for this position is $417,686 – $502,275. Compensation consists of a competitive base salary with the opportunity to earn additional productivity-based compensation. The listed range reflects base salary only and does not include incentive earnings, tuition benefits, or other competitive benefits. The final salary will be determined based on factors including experience and qualifications, departmental budget availability, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable roles.
