Radiology Physician - Breast Imaging
About the role
Become part of an academic, quality-focused environment at Sinai Grace Hospital within the Detroit, Michigan Tenet Practice Resources network. This position offers a part-time schedule (0.5 to 0.7 FTE) with no call and no weekends, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The volume is average with 3 procedures per shift, 40 mammography reads, including screening mammograms (45-50%), diagnostic (25-35%) and procedures (15-25%).
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex mammography examinations
- Interpret mammography images and report findings accurately
- Collaborate with residents and medical students
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Teach and mentor residents through the I-Collaborate platform
- Contribute to the department's educational programs
Requirements
- U.S. residency trained in Diagnostic Radiology
- Pass the ABRR/ABDR certification exam
- Meet MQSA requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in breast imaging is preferred but not required
- Passion for resident teaching and academic medicine
- Comfort with the pace of an academic environment
