Clinical Care

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patients depending on specialty and assignment.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Conduct routine physical examinations, wellness visits, preventive screenings, and follow-up care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans appropriately.
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary case management activities.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and families regarding disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and treatment compliance.
  • Support continuity of care through appropriate referrals to specialists, behavioral health, dental, and community resources.
  • Participate in after-hours call coverage and same-day access scheduling as assigned.

Quality and Compliance

  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, HRSA, FTCA, OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational requirements.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, productivity goals, patient satisfaction efforts, and value-based care metrics.
  • Participate in peer review, chart audits, provider meetings, and clinical quality activities.
  • Maintain compliance with productivity expectations, coding accuracy, and documentation standards.
  • Achieve organizational quality benchmarks including HEDIS, UDS, and risk management initiatives.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with medical assistants, nurses, behavioral health staff, care coordinators, referral coordinators, and leadership.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and organizational initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and culturally responsive environment for patients and staff.
  • Support teaching and mentoring opportunities for students, residents, or newly hired providers when applicable.
