Staff Physician

JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Physician provides clinical care to patients, based upon his/her specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides high quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary environment
• Maintains the standard of clinical care, using diagnostic testing appropriately and providing appropriate treatment
• Uses diagnostic testing appropriately yet cost-effectively, and providing appropriate treatment
• Sets up consultation and makes referrals when appropriate
• Effectively engages patients in their care
• Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all aspects of patient care
• Considers the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease

Workplace Computer and Equipment

• Maintains complete and comprehensive documentation

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Computer skills including Microsoft office suite, electronic medical records and practice management system

Education And/Or Experience

• Education: M.D. or D.O. in a primary care specialty with completion of an accredited residency training program
• Experience: Board Certified/Board Eligible Completion of medical degree and an accredited residency program
• Licensure: Appropriate Maryland licensure and clinical certification
• Other: DEA and Maryland CDS. interest in and/or experience in community health settings
• Skills: Excellent communication and team skills required
