Staff Pharmacist - Medical Center East Pharmacy

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced Organization MCE Pharmacist Coordinator-2 to join the Medical Center East Pharmacy team. The position is located at the Medical Center East Pharmacy, a 24-hour outpatient/discharge pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Reviews drug orders and/or prescriptions to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medications.
• Provides outstanding patient care by optimizing medication preparation and resolving medication-related problems.
• Prepares and dispenses medications, provides drug information and manages medication therapy in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policy.
• Supervises the activities of assigned support personnel and verifies the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications prepared by support personnel prior to dispensing to patients or dispensing to healthcare providers for administration to patients.

• Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Novice)
• Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation, Dispensing & Distribution (Intermediate)
• Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation & Dispensing (Intermediate)
• Meditation Management (Intermediate)
• Mentoring & Coaching (Novice)

Qualifications

• LIC-Pharmacist License - Tennessee
• Bachelor's Degree

Schedule

The position will be full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm. There is every 8th weekend rotation both Saturday and Sunday. Holiday rotation is also included.
