About the Role
Provides specialized nursing care based on principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered nursing care within scope of practice.
- Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support to patients of all ages.
- Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting.
- Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient operations and high-quality care.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems effectively.
- Participate in system-based practices and adapt to temporary assignments across departments as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years.
- Active Ohio RN license (Multistate License required within 90 days for certain roles).
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of healthcare experience preferred; no supervisory experience required.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working collaboratively within teams and with various organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
