Staff Nurse - Perioperative Care

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages and developmental stages.
• Demonstrate leadership, perform quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practice duties.
• Support staff education, precept new employees, and act as a mentor.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient operations, quality care, and excellent customer service for pediatric patients.
• Utilize informatics and technology, participate in systems-based practices, and adapt to temporary assignments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or must obtain within 5 years.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio and Basic Life Support certification.

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
• Experience in healthcare and proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records preferred.

Experience & Education

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
