Staff Nurse - Operating Room

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care within their scope of practice.
• Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement activities.
• Contribute to staff education, precepting, and mentoring new employees.
• Support collaboration with provider staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care and excellent customer service.
• Engage in evidence-based practice, systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
• Adapt to temporary assignments across different units as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• BSN required or obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current Ohio RN license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience working with diverse organizational levels; healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Leadership, guidance, and motivation skills for team collaboration.
