Staff Nurse - NICU

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care for patients of all ages and developmental stages.
• Lead and perform professional duties, including patient-centered care, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Participate in staff education, precepting new employees, and mentoring clinical staff.
• Engage in evidence-based practices, support provider staff, and promote team collaboration for efficient, high-quality pediatric care.
• Utilize informatics and technology, adapt to temporary assignments across different areas, and perform other relevant duties as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Ohio required.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience working collaboratively and with various organizational levels is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
