About the role
Provides specialized nursing care in a neonatal intensive care setting, focusing on family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within scope of practice.
- Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support across all ages and developmental stages.
- Demonstrate leadership, perform patient-centered, quality improvement, safety, and systems-based duties.
- Participate in staff education, mentoring, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Support collaborative team efforts, promote efficient operations, and ensure high-quality pediatric care.
- Utilize informatics and technology, adapt to temporary assignments across departments as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or must obtain within 5 years.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio.
- Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Onsite work in a neonatal intensive care unit.
- Part-time role with 24 hours per week, primarily overnight shifts.
