Staff Nurse (MAH Mental Health)

About the role

You will work alongside the Nursing Leaders to deliver patient-centered and compassionate nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, and evaluates nursing care according to patient's needs, doctor's orders, and hospital policies.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Ensure adherence to hospital and nursing standards, policies, and best practices.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients at all times.
• Keep Senior Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, and Doctor informed on patient’s condition, treatment, intervention, and outcome.
• Supervise and mentor new and junior nursing staff, fostering a supportive and effective nursing team.

Requirements

• Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.
• Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital, especially in a psychiatric ward, is an added advantage.

• Strong team-player, self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, agility, and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance and engagement.
• A genuine interest in mental health care and the intention to pursue this specialty with dedication and compassion.

Schedule

Comfortable with performing 3-rotating shifts.
