Staff Nurse (ICU) HRC-183 (Sign-on Bonus!)

Job Summary

Is a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS certified. Minimum of two years acute care experience, with one being in ICU preferred. Population is all age groups. Physical ability to perform all nursing duties.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialized and complex patient care in the intensive care unit.
• Making and managing critical patients, including those on life support.
• Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Communicating with patient and their families to provide education and emotional support, and discharge planning.
• Participating in performance improvement activities.
• Mentoring and training new nursing staff.
• Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience

• Current California Registered Nurse License required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS Certification required.
• Minimum of two years acute care experience, with one being in ICU preferred.
• One year of acute experience required.
• Able to interpret EKG monitors required.
• Successful documented/observed competency during orientation required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing required.
• Additional languages preferred.
