STAFF NURSE I/II
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develops, and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Supervises nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities. Superb communication and customer service skills are required at all times to interact effectively with all patients.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the following procedures: prostate biopsy, prostate fusion biopsy, cystoscopy, bladder biopsy, vasectomy and laceration removal, with approximately 100 procedures being done on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- New York State Registered Professional Nursing license and current registration.
- Basic Life Support.
- Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval system.
- Use of patient care equipment as authorized by scope of practice.
- Use of electronic clinical information system.
Qualifications
This position requires a high level of physical stamina and dexterity due to the nature of the work performed. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.

Pay
Hiring rate is $60.22 per hour, which may vary based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.
Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 7.5 hours per day.
