Staff Nurse - Endocrinology

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, incorporating biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to deliver family-centered care for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care within the scope of practice.
• Provide physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support to patients of all ages and developmental stages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care activities.
• Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to staff education, precepting, and mentoring new employees.
• Collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient, high-quality, team-based care and excellent customer service.
• Utilize informatics, technology, and systems-based practices to enhance patient care.
• Support hospital-wide assignments based on patient needs, performing other duties as required.

Skills

• Leadership ability, effective communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Experience with healthcare teams and familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of healthcare experience (preferred).
• BSN required or to be obtained within five years.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and valid RN license in Ohio (Multistate license required).

Schedule

Onsite, primarily weekdays during daytime hours, with flexibility for temporary department assignments.
