About the role
Health, Counseling, and Disability Access Services is seeking a Staff Nurse at an active university health center. University Health Services is an ambulatory care clinic staffed by a health care provider and staff nurse who collaborate with physicians from various disciplines. The department is committed to providing integrated and effective medical, mental health, health promotion and public health services for the University’s student body.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, symptom evaluation, and initial triage
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines within scope of practice and provider orders
- Assist with clinical procedures and support provider service delivery
- Coordinate patient care activities, including follow-up, referrals, and continuity of care
- Provide patient education related to health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevant findings to providers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the health record system
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and institutional policies
- Support clinic operations by assisting with patient flow and clinical workflow coordination
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an approved nursing program and licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) as an RN within the state of Missouri
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of professional nursing experience in ambulatory care, primary care, college health, public health, urgent care, or related clinical setting
Pay
Anticipated Hiring Range: $26.45–$31.25
Schedule
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
