Staff Nurse - Emergency Department

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences, focusing on family-centered care for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care within the scope of practice.
• Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care for patients of all ages.
• Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting.
• Ensure quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices.
• Support provider collaboration and promote efficient, patient-focused service.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems effectively.
• Adapt to temporary assignments across different hospital areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining within 5 years.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum one year of relevant healthcare experience (preferred).

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks accurately.
• Experience with healthcare teams, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
